4 out of 5 stars Kindle for Europe   November 21, 2009
Alfred Boersig (Germany)
It was worthwhile waiting for this ebook. What was promised in the ad and the video is absolutely true. It is a miracle but it works well and as a result I have purched already more than 20 books at very reasonable prices!. Only negative is that most of the UK bestsellers are not available for Europe yet. So I hope that will change soon. Great tool.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic!   November 21, 2009
Another Opinion (Santa Monica, CA USA)
Yeah, yeah, I went through it all too... "I love the feel of paper in my hand... there's nothing like the smell of a book..." I imagine people used to say I love riding a horse to work and love the smell of horses*&t in the street. It's so real. There were also people screaming as they took their daguerreotypes away too. The world moves forward, people. Get over it. This is a wonderful device that makes reading a pleasure. The inclusion of the Oxford Dictionary makes looking up a word a breeze. Want to adjust the type size? No problem. Highlighting or clipping a section? Easy as pie. And for all of you "green" readers? No trees are harmed, no gas used in huge polluting trucks to ship the books. So don't go praising Al Gore on one hand and dissing the Kindle on the other. My only complaint: There should be more books available. Some of the authors, I fear, are being stubborn. Yes, I'm talking to you Michael Chabon. Get with the program, dude. I'm sure you have an iPod to replace your gramophone. Let us read your new book on our Kindles. Can't imagine life without my Kindle. Can't recommend it highly enough.

5 out of 5 stars KINDLE KEEPS ME SANE   November 21, 2009

I am wheelchair-bound with MS, but still work full-time. The ride in my pickup van can vary from thirty minutes to an hour and a half...How wonderful it is to have my Kindle and my clip on light...I am never bored...never complaining about having to pick up two or three other people before getting home...even after a tiring full day of work, I just sit in my chair, flip on my Kindle and read...Thanks for this wonderful device..

4 out of 5 stars I love my Kindle   November 21, 2009

This is my second kindle and it is far superior to the old one. The first one the buttons were positioned inconveniently, but this one is great. You don't change pages by mistake and it is easier to reach the on and off button when it is in a cover.

The only drawback I see right now is I have not been able to find a replacement battery for it> I haven't needed one but I am always thinking ahead. The battery life is excellent. Kindle is the way to go

5 out of 5 stars Great product!   November 21, 2009

I really enjoy my new Kindle. It is very "user friendly". I find the text easy to read and the controls are simple to navigate. I hope the experimental options will become permanent; especially the web browser option.

I highly recommend this product.
